Race Day Book Signing! Chris McDougall
Christopher McDougall, New York Times best-selling author of "Born to Run: A Hidden Tribe, Superathletes, and the Greatest Race the World Has Never Seen," will visit St Dot’s on Race Day for a book-signing before & after the 5k race. Initially the book-signing will be open to those that have purchased the book and admission ticket through St Dot's Challenge only...so be sure to get your book & ticket early! Download the order form here. Borders books will be on-site at the expo & on race day selling books.
In addition to being a former St Dot’s parishioner, McDougall is also a former war correspondent for the Associated Press and is now a contributing editor for Men's Health. A three-time National Magazine Award finalist, he has written for Esquire, The New York Times Magazine, Outside, Men's Journal and New York.
In his most recent book, "Born to Run: A Hidden Tribe, Superathletes, and the Greatest Race the World Has Never Seen," McDougall sets off to find a tribe of the world's greatest distance runners and learn their secrets, and in the process shows us that everything we thought we knew about running is wrong. Born to Run not only engages the mind but inspires the body when you realize that the secret to happiness is right at your feet, and that you, indeed all of us, were born to run. It’s a great book for runners of all ability levels! Check out this book review for more information.
