Chances are if you ask for someone’s favorite running shoe, you’ll get as many answers as runners. It’s a subjective question based on type of foot and what people value in a shoe.
For example, my favorite is the Nike Air Pegasus. Why? Because it’s a comfortable, durable, neutral shoe that’s less than $80 and I’ve been wearing it for over a decade and I’ve had no real motivation to change.
I’ve had good luck with some NB styles and I’ve heard great things about Mizuno Wave, Adidas, and Asics, but I haven’t been so bold to try them yet.
If you were to read my full Nike Air Pegasus Shoe Review, you’d see my “shoe value system” consists primarily of comfort and cost.
When it comes to minimalist shoes, I really like the VFF Bikilas and I’ve been wearing them for approximately 20-30% of my weekly miles.
But that’s me…
