If we're being honest with ourselves, the biggest challenge in maintaining a healthy lifestyle is willpower and motivation. Most of us have tiring days and it can be very challenging to muster up the strength day-in and day-out to make our new healthy habits form. Before we know it, there's always a good reason to try again "tomorrow". It happens to all of us! So why go at this all alone?

Starting on January 1st, The Fitness Motivator will be publishing daily motivators on Facebook to get you started off right in 2017! We'll publish tips, articles, motivational quotes, group surveys, and even giveaways to keep you going.

You're not on this quest alone! We all have goals to increase our fitness levels and we've all met with the highs and lows of trying to get in better shape or lose weight. I've found that we do much better when we stick together. You can be a silent partner, or openly share your goals and accomplishments - whatever helps you get one step closer to reaching your dream.

When I see all the features that today's running watches and fitness trackers come with, I start to feel old! Many watches can track your steps; quality of sleep; your continuous heart rate; detect the type of activity that you're doing (automatically); and so much more. Many have a GPS capability, compass, altimeter, barometer, ability continual synch with your smart phone, and several other functions. These devices have quickly become a treasure trove of fitness data and motivation for our routines.
